We are pleased to introduce the completely redesigned version of Online Advantage. The goal of the redesign was to provide students and faculty with the most sophisticated and technologically advanced testing experience possible. To accomplish this goal we reimagined and redesigned virtually every screen of Online Advantage and significantly enhanced the performance analysis functionality.
Student Version
The student version of Online Advantage consists of two examinations and is designed to assist students with their preparation for a comprehensive examination of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE). Students can purchase an access code for a single examination for $40.00 or can purchase an access code for both examinations for $60.00 (Save $20).
Academic Version
The academic version of Online Advantage consists of two examinations and is designed solely for the use of academic programs electing to offer a comprehensive examination to their graduating students. Academic faculty can purchase access codes for a single examination for each student for $40.00 or can purchase access codes for both examinations for $60.00 (Save $20.00).
Online Advantage Access
Online Advantage is accessible by entering an access code that is generated at the time of purchase. Students have access to Online Advantage for a 60-day period once an examination is initiated. If a student purchases both examinations, the 60-days are independent of each other. Meaning that the 60-days for the second examination will not begin upon initiating the first examination. Students are allowed to take each examination a maximum of two times during the 60-day period. Students should recognize that second attempts of any examination are not valid measurements of mastery since they are heavily influenced by memory which can dramatically augment the examination score.
Sample Examinations
We have added new clinically-oriented examination questions and in the process significantly increased the difficulty level of the examinations to simulate the complexity of the NPTE. Expansive explanations of the correct and incorrect options allow candidates to quickly identify essential academic content and improve decision making. The sample examinations are balanced to the exact specifications of the current NPTE blueprint. The academic and student versions of Online Advantage are completely unique products that utilize independent examination questions.
Performance Assessment
A sophisticated performance analysis section allows candidates to directly compare their results to the mean score of all other candidates. This type of data is far more valuable than only percentile scores since the mean accounts for the relative difficulty of each exam. A Mastery Meter with labels ranging from "superior" to "poor" is used to classify a candidate's performance. Detailed feedback using the Mastery Meter is provided in five system specific and five content outline areas.
